About Nagaland Board of School Education
The Nagaland Board of School Education was established through an Act of the Nagaland Legislative Assembly and received the assent of the Governor on 15 November 1973. It started functioning from 1 October 1974. In March 1975, the board conducted its first high school leaving certificate exam at 6 centers for 2008 candidates. Since then, the examination has been conducted continuously by this board. The board is known for its credibility. It is responsible for the promotion and development of secondary and higher secondary education in Nagaland. The board is headquartered in Kohima, Nagaland. The main objective of this board is to prescribe the syllabus of instruction for the examinations, to publish the results of the examinations.
NBSE 10th & 12th Compartmental Exam 2025
The students who are called for the examination in classes 10 and 12. If they fail in one or two subjects, they are called for the compartmental examination by the board. In the year 2024, the HSLC pass percentage was 71.87%, while in the year 2023, the result was 70.32%. 21689 students had enrolled for the tenth class examination. Out of which 15588 students passed.
