Selection Mode

• Selection will be on the basis of merit list prepared in respect of all the candidates who apply against the notification. The merit list will be prepared on the basis of percentage of marks in matriculation [with minimum 50% (aggregate) marks) plus ITI marks in the trade in which Apprenticeship is to be done..
• For the purpose of calculation of percentage of marks of SSC of candidates from Board of Secondary Education Andhra Pradesh, Board of Public Examination, Kerala etc. Nagpur division of SECR will take midpoint of range of grades obtained by the candidates. After obtaining midpoints of all the attempted subjects according to grades awarded, average will be calculated treating each subject is out of 100 marks, as there is no standard method or multiplying factor for calculation of average of matriculation for such Boards.
• In case of two candidates having the same marks, the candidates with older age shall be preferred. In case the dates of birth are also same, then the candidate who passed matriculation exam earlier shall be considered first.
• The shortlisted candidates would be subject to verification of all original testimonials and being found fit in appropriate Medical examination by Railways as applicable for the Workshop and for the other Units of division.
• A registration number will be issued to each applicant during online application submission. Candidates are advised to save/note down their registration number for the next stage of recruitment process/correspondence.

Education Qualification

• Matriculation passed or equivalent with minimum 50% marks.
• National Trade Certificate (ITI) in the notified trade issued by the National Council for Vocational Training or Provisional Certificate issued by the National Council for Vocational Training /State Council for Vocational Training. The candidate must fill in their 10th & ITI marks on the portal in the qualification section; otherwise, their application will be automatically rejected. Do not fill in any other higher qualification.

Relaxation in Recruitment Process for Ex-Servicemen

Ex-Serviceman candidates selected under the reservation of 10% provided for them are to be placed in the appropriate category viz. UR/SC/ST/OBC to which they belong. Reservation to Ex-Serviceman, their children and children of armed forces personnel will be as per details mentioned below:

(a) Children of deceased/disabled Ex-servicemen including those killed/disabled during peace time. (b)Children of Ex-servicemen (c) Children of Serving Officer (d) Ex-servicemen (e) Children of serving Jawan.

The candidates who want to avail the benefit of reservation of Ex-servicemen and Armed Forces Personnel, must produce Discharge certificate and in case of children of Ex-servicemen and children of Armed Forces Personnel, they must produce discharge certificate or Armed Forces serving certificate respectively (as the case may be) of his/her parents at the time of document verification.

Standards Of Fitness For The “DIVYANG” Persons

• Divyang (PWBD) who want to avail the benefit of reservation must produce a disability certificate issued by a competent authority (i.e., Medical Board duly constituted by the Central or State Government, including one specialist in the particular field for assessing disability).
• The disability certificate should be as per Annexure III/IV/V/VI enclosed.

Medical Fitness Of RRC SCER Bharti 2025

• Selected candidates may be adviced to bring medical certificate at the time of document verification in the prescribed proforma.
• per Apprenticeship Act 1961 and Para 4 of the Apprenticeship Rule 1992 (As amended from time to time).
• The Medical certificate should be signed by Government authorized Doctor (Gaz), Not below the rank of Asstt. Surgeon of Central/State Hospital.

Training & Stipend

• The training will be regulated according to standards/syllabus issued by Central Apprenticeship Council. The candidates undergoing training will be eligible for stipend as per prescribed rates.
• Stipend Rate Rs. 8050/- for 2 years ITI course & Rs. 7700/- for 1 year ITI course.

Age Limit

• Age as on 05.04.2025 Minimum 15 years.
• Maximum 24 Years.
• (Upper age relaxation for SC/ST candidate is 5 years, for OBC candidates 3 years and for Divyang (PWBO) & Ex-Servicemen candidates 10 years).
• They Upper age limit is relaxable by up to additional 10 years for ex-servicemen to the extent of service rendered Defence Forces plus provided have put in a minimum of 6 months service at a stretch, except Ex-servicemen in 03 years who have already joined the Govt. service on Civil side after availing the servicemen status for the purpose of their engagement.
• However, regardless of community, Ex-servicemen will be considered against the Ex-servicemen quota, if available.
• If UR vacancies are not available then only Ex-Serviceman belonging to those particular communities where vacancies are available will be considered against the Ex-Servicemen quota.

Essential Guidelines for RRC SECR

• Before applying, the candidates should ensure that he/she fulfils the eligibility and other criteria. If erroneously engaged, such candidates shall be immediately dismissed without notice at any stage.
• Candidature of the candidate shall be cancelled if he/she fails to produce the required original testimonials for verification or any other discrepancy noticed,
• If it is noticed by the Railway administration that the candidate has furnished Wrong/fake Certificates/false certificates, the Railway administration reserves the right to discharge the candidate/selected candidate at any stage without any notice, even after his/her selection to undergo training. Further they may be liable for penal.
• The Railway administrations do not undertake any responsibility for sending reply to the candidates not selected or not called for. No correspondence in respect of the application submitted shall be entertained or replied by this office to any individual or organization.
• The Engineering Graduate & Diploma Holder is not eligible to apply for apprenticeship in response to this notification as they are governed by a separate scheme of Apprenticeship.
• No daily allowance/conveyance allowance or travelling allowance will be paid to the candidates called for document verification.
• After selection for engagement, request of candidate to change the division/ unit will not be entertained.
• No accommodation will be provided by Railway for apprentices. They will have to make their own arrangements.
• While utmost care will be taken for finalizing the final list of eligible candidates, in case of any oversight the administration has the right
